Swiss duo Waysons started out as neighbours who could literally hear each other produce music through the walls. The two young guys enjoyed each other’s music so much and that’s how ‘Waysons’ was born. Doane & Julien started out by producing melodic progessive house. Their tracks got supported by some of the biggest names in the industry which led to ‘Waysons’ getting their own residency at MAD Club in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The duo is now back with a totally different sound and produced this melodic trap track called ‘Baobab’. Although the track took them quite a while to create they felt the track could become something. The key is to make something you love, complicated as it is, and then to simplify it as much as possible.
You may be wonder where the name ‘Baobab’ came from. The track was originally a bird-jungle sample but the two decided to mix it up. ‘Baobab’ takes you to another level with its organic and Korg sound. ‘Baobab’ will be released on Afrojack’s imprint Wall Recordings on the 7th of April.
